If you live in Nigeria, you can open a Wrapp account. It gives you your own **account number** so cash gifts can land and you can withdraw them to your bank.

> Cash gifts and Wrapp account numbers are available to people in Nigeria for now. Live somewhere else? [Ask for your country](/articles/ask-for-your-country/) and we'll tell you when it opens.

## What you need

- A **Nigerian phone number** you can receive a code on.
- Your **BVN or NIN**, so we can confirm who you are.
- A working camera, for a quick selfie.
- To be **18 or older**. People under 18 can't receive money or verify an identity.
- To be a **Nigerian citizen**. Naira accounts are for Nigerian citizens for now.

## Steps

1. Go to **Gifts and wallet**.
2. Tap **Get your Wrapp account**.
3. Read what closing an account means, then tick the box to say you have.
4. Choose a **4-digit PIN**. You'll use it to spend and withdraw, so pick one you'll remember and keep it private.
5. Follow the link to verify your identity. You'll enter your BVN or NIN and take a selfie.

When your identity is confirmed you'll get a notification, and your account number is ready.

## Good to know

- Your BVN or NIN is checked on FinZ's secure page. **Wrapp never sees it**, and never sees your selfie.
- Wrapp isn't a bank. Your money is kept with a licensed partner bank, and the bank's name is shown next to your account number.
- Already have a FinZ account? We'll find it and connect the two, so you don't end up with a second one.
